The AMECC, Inc. acknowledges the Traditional Rights of this land, Indigenous Cultural Communities / Indigenous People (ICCs/IPs) known as” Republic Act No. 8371”, who are caretakers of this ancestral domain of the country on which this club and the AMECC reside and enjoy. We pay our respect to members of the community, custodians, elders, knowledge-holder, and their kin.  We acknowledge all ICCs/IPs of the Philippines as having strong and continuing connections to land, culture, and the country. We acknowledge that mountaineering and related activities have a colonial history, which has enabled participants to benefit and enjoy these activities based on a history of land being taken without free, prior, and informed consent and continue to hold knowledge about the environment around us, which has been passed on for thousands of generations. We thank them for nurturing and holding us.
